A Note from Maura Chick:

As a woman who has hated herself for the better of 30 years, I fought hard to say that I LOVE ME! It is a daily battle and practice that takes a huge amount of effort and work. You do not wave your wand and magically change from hating yourself to loving yourself. I am passionate about changing the lives of women and inspiring them every day to stand up and shout, “I LOVE MYSELF!” In my profession as a boudoir photographer, I have worked with hundreds of women who are struggling with loving and accepting themselves as they are. I have made it my mission to take my business farther to help women release all the things that are holding them back.  This mission was my drive to become a certified body positive instructor and a self-love life coach. I have lived this life, I have changed myself, and while I proclaim love for myself, I still have bad days. But, the love I feel for myself is more than the inner critic that lives within my mind. My voice of love will be louder than the voice of fear, and I want that for ever single woman! We are in this journey together, we need more love and less competition. We are better together! I hope you’ll join me – I want you to live a life of freedom with complete and total love for yourself.

What’s the difference between Events & Monthly Meetings?

Monthly Meetings

Monthly meetings are a time each month where we can gather and have open sharing.  We will catch up on our monthly challenges, talk about what we are struggling with and I will provide a small message or activity.

Events

Events are planned messages to have a bigger impact, as we focus on a specific topic with a message, exercises, and writing.  During the events, we will have a time to socialize, then when it is time for the event message & practice to begin, we will move into a silent time for the remainder of the meeting.  At the end of the event, will be open discussion.

Self Love Club Code of Conduct

How we treat each other and ourselves

Confidentiality
Everything that is said or written in the group is confidential. This includes all meetings, outings, events, or online interaction. There is an exception to this confidentiality, which applies to the group leader. If the group leader believes that someone is in danger, the leader has a professional obligation to take action to keep everyone safe.
Privacy
No group member is ever required to answer any question, to participate in any activity, or to tell anything. If you are asked to participate in any way in which makes you feel uncomfortable, you have the right to refuse.
Dignity
Each group member is treated with dignity and respect.
Gossip and Negativity
Gossip and Negativity are destructive in a self-love group. Although traumatic and hurtful experiences are a part of our lives and may be the reason we need the club, we will be focusing solely on self-love.
This is about YOU
We have many possible roles – Daughter/Wife/Mother/Sister/Aunt/Employee the list can go on! While these roles are important, nothing is more important than the relationship that you have with yourself. We will NOT focus on discussion about your child/children and or spouse/partner, especially bashing, or negative discussion.
Hold Space
Be empathetic to others in our group without dispensing advice or trying to fix their problems. “Holding Space” is simply listening, withholding judgment, emotionally connecting, and communicating that incredibly healing message of “you are not alone”.
Responsibility
It is your responsibility to make an open and honest commitment to the Self Love Club. You will receive a greater benefit by participating in group events and meetings, online discussions/challenges/activities and completing the course curriculum. As with anything, the more you commit, the greater chance you have at success!
